Since our store first opened its doors in 1849, we have worked hard to establish our reputation for excellence.
But this is just part of the Harrods story. The store is much more than a shopping destination; our rich history is inseparable from the people who have passed through Harrods doors, worked here, written about the store and contributed to its magnificent architecture.
Figures including Noël Coward, Sigmund Freud, Oscar Wilde, Queen Mary, AA Milne and Pierce Brosnan (to name but a few) have each made their mark on the stores rich patina.
We continue to grow, adapt and reinvent Harrods; evolving our heritage with every passing year.
